Ian Kemp
I am a fine art photographer whose work is exhibited as digital images and photogravure prints. The content of my work is often landscapes, portraits, still life and nature, but the subject is likely to be the impermanence of human life. Since 2023, I have had solo exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Ballarat, Horsham Art Gallery, Central Goldfields Gallery, Yering Station Gallery, St Arnaud Raillery Gallery and Ross Creek Gallery. In December 2025, my work was published in the international Frames Digital Magazine and received international recognition in the Monochrome Awards and Motif Collective competition. I was also a finalist in the Flanagan Award and Martin Kantor Prize. I enjoy teaching photography in small groups, and I assist Silvi Glattaeur in her photogravure workshops at the Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Lost Trades. I like to travel for some of my work, and I have produced exhibition work from my visits to Morocco, the Sahara Desert, Scotland, Argentina and Japan. In 2026, I have trips planned for Patagonia, the Kimberley and perhaps the South Island of New Zealand. IG: @iankempphotography EM: [email protected] WEB: www.iankempphotography.com |
